Milagros is seven years old.
Her father dies and is maltreated by her stepmother.
She runs away and meets young Anthony at the park with his dog Brutus.
They fly a kite.
Anthony is found by his mother. They go back home and drops Milagros on the way.
Anthony leaves a book to Milagros.
During their goodbye handshake, Anthony gets Milagros' butterfly ring by chance.
